An incredibly emotional and well-crafted read. The author is not afraid to explore complex characters and even more complicated themes! Highly reccommended
An excellent first novel from a talented writer.
A real page-turner!
Fantastic read, loved every minute!
Just brilliant - all the cliches.."couldn't put it down" etc... apply to this great book which has to be start of a family sags PLEASE! I'm not at all surprised to learn that this book has won a screen play prize in Canada were sections of the story unfold....its asking to be dramatised. Written in an observant and gentle manner, it is clear that the author watches, listen, observes with a wee smile on her face! I loved it.
What a bloody great book
