Reader Comments
I would thoroughly recommend this wonderful book to anyone who is interested in biographies. A powerful, sometimes disturbing, yet down to earh and honest realisation of what the author encountered during his life as a child and teenager. Gripping from the beginning to end and extremely difficult to put this book down inbetween readings. Final thoughts: a must read!
Truly superb. The author grabs your attention from the start and keeps you hooked until the end. A sensitive and extremely well executed story of the Childhood of Robert Corfe bringing out many emotions to the reader as they step forward on his journey. Brilliant
Robert Corfe's book is a stimulating read. This social history of the British middle-classes is incredibly revealing and explains many anxieties which have lingered throughout subsequent generations.
