Reader Comments

I really enjoyed this. Kept me absorbed
An obscure period of history brought to life and enjoyed by many whether or not they are usually historical fiction readers.
The book was exciting to read and kept one involved in the story and the characters. The historical background was well researched
An unusual period of history, one I didn't know much about, but I thoroughly enjoyed this novel.
This is not the type of book I would normally read, but as soon as I picked it up, Ascha's world came alive for me and I couldn't put it down. A captivating read and way to learn about that period in history, which, as the story brought home, is still all around us today.
