Synopsis

The Potteries, 1829. It’s a harsh world at the Bone Mill where animal bones are used to make fine china. This is Joseph Ryder’s world, making a living one step ahead of the workhouse. He is offered a chance to earn extra money, and is dragged into a deadly business.

Author's Biography

Nicholas Corder lives in rural Staffordshire with his wife and their mad dog. He is the author of books, plays, articles and stories. The Bone Mill is his first novel. Corder lectures part-time in Writing for the Media in the Faculty of Media at Manchester Metropolitan University. When not at his desk or haranguing students on the use of the apostrophe, he plays the ukulele and drives around in a camper-van, although not at the same time.

This book is excellent and very readable, a real page turner. It should be turned into a TV series.
