Author's Biography

Harold James was commissioned in the 8th Gurkha Rifles in 1942. In 1943 he was seconded to 3/2nd Gurkha Rifles and awarded an immediate MC at the age of 19. After the war he joined the Automobile Association as a press officer. He now lives in Nepal with his family.
