Synopsis
WHEN THE LILAC BLOOMS, MY LOVE is a vibrant thrilling first play by Jane Huxley who has been described as a ‘detective of the human mind’. Jane writes with great insight about the dark side of human relationships. Daily Express. Set in modern-day suburbia. Nicky is a young woman who returns to the family home to break the news to her family that she is pregnant, taking the reluctant father-to-be (Darius) with her. On meeting the family (Simona (mother) and Milton (step-father) and the live-in lodger Miss Mackensie a web of hidden passions unfolds that challenges the bonds between them. The play, which is directed by Simon Beyer has its world premiere at The Leicester Square Theatre, London on 14th April 2010.

Huxley is married to a physician and has two daughters. She lives in New York, London and the South of France.

Great book, beautifully written, well worth a read
