Time Crystal Volume One [May]

Subtitle The Greatest Adventure in the History of the Universe
By Wyken Seagrave
Published by Penny Press Ltd
May 2010

Synopsis

There’s a disaster at CERN in Switzerland and two men are absorbed by a black hole. Moments later time stops everywhere in the Universe except near fragments of mysterious blue crystal. Each one is surrounded by a bubble of time. Hold a crystal and you’re alive. Without it you’re frozen in time. Fourteen-year-old Catriona O’Brien is visiting CERN when the disaster happens. She is given a crystal and hears one of the two absorbed men saying that if she can collect all the crystal fragments and bring them down something called the ‘Time Tunnel’ then he can restart time. So begins an adventure that will take Catriona back through the history of the Universe to the Big Bang and beyond! Time Crystal, the greatest adventure in the history of the Universe, written and read by British author Wyken Seagrave.

Author's Biography

Wyken Seagrave’s life work has been to engage people of all ages in the fascinating history of our Universe. Inspired by his own youthful desire to ‘find out where we came from’ he studied physics at Nottingham University, with research the libraries and museums of Cambridge. He says ‘...by studying the past we see trends which will allow us to cope with future problems.’ His short history for children (Global Vision, Penny Press 1992) became the basis for his website www.historyoftheuniverse.com (1998) which now receives around a million visitors a year. Time Crystal is the result of eight years of research, plot and character development. It is probably the first time any individual author has ever attempted to frame Universal history within a single story.
