Alex Scarrow used to be a rock guitarist, then he became a graphic artist, then he decided to be a computer games designer. Finally, he grew up and became an author. He has written a number of successful thrillers and several screenplays, but it's YA fiction that has allowed him to really have fun with the ideas and concepts he was playing around with when designing games.

This book is awesome! It really makes you wonder about how this time could of been, and it makes me look at history and the future under a new light.
Absolutely excellent book, I literally couldn’t put it don’t from beginning to end, a really good read.
Great Book, enjoyed every page! :)
Having read Alex's other stuff i wasn't sure if he could pull off a book that my step-son could read, well i was wrong, my step-son enjoyed it and i then read it myself. if you looking for a read that is fun, quirky, slick, and will hopefully make the kids who read this ask questions about history too.
Roll on Book 2!
Excellent book. Could not put it down and wait with anticipation the next in the series. Captain Bob was a brilliant idea!!
Great book.
I really enjoyed the alternative reality WW2 and the setting of New York City in the 2 days recurring before 9/11.
Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Brilliant read. Can't put this book down, you just have to keep turning the pages. Really good time travel adventure with what-if thoughts. Can't wait for the next one in the series -liam
A really brilliant read! I couldn't put the book down and had to keep reading to find out what happens next. When I grow up, I want to be a Timrerider too!
What makes a welcome change is the appearance of a book that should appeal strongly to boys, especially those that have forsaken books for consoles or chatting on MSN. As well as being a fantastic story, Alex Scarrow has created a series that could help reengage some of the teenage boys who don't believe reading is for them.
A cracking good thriller, not just for young adults but for older readers too!
This book is such an enjoyable read with some really neat ideas.
