Author's Biography
Jenny Holmes has resided in North Shropshire all her life, where her surroundings are steeped in history, myth and legend. Her passion for the Creative Arts has always prevailed, through teaching, interior designing and now dedicating her time to writing novels, poetry and short stories. She has seven books published.

A friend bought me this book for my birthday. It's not something I would have chosen for myself, ordinarily, but I have to say that i thoroughly enjoyed it and it was very well written. I would certianly recomend this to others.

loved the characters in this book - the family scenes really made me laugh and I felt like I was right there in the midst of the action. the plot kept me intrigued right to the end and I loved the differnt settings, so well described.

an unsual story but one I enjoyed very much. I have expereinced a lot of paranormal things in my life so this book seemed very real to me. I was fascinated by the scenes with the dreams. The writer has obviously done a lot of reserch.

A must read with lots of twists and turns! A great story.
I came back to live in Shropshire several years ago, for my retirement, and the way the settings are described is superb. I also like the contrast with the scenes in New Orleans. I've never been there but I could get a real feel for the location...the smells, the sights, the sounds...Well done Jenny!
A great book with its ups and downs of life. Even the paranormal parts I can relate to as life can be quite strange at the best of times.
The language in this book just flows so beautifully, creating wonderful images of each scene as you read them. There are a lot of thought provoking occurences, some pretty scary and some rather funny too, just like real life.
This book kept me enthralled from start to finish. I love all the unexpected twists and it really made me think about how our minds work.
An unusual but interesting read. Essentially a tale of a child's premonitions depicting the future and then coming true.
What might be considered a 'gift' becomes more of a curse as
" The Quiet Voice Within" chronicles the life of Sapphire Daulby, who's ability to predict future catastrophies, take on a sinister twist as her immediate family become fateful victims of the plot.
Interestingly, another novel by Jenny Holmes that throws in a few 'twists and turns', occasionally and cleverley, leading the reader to false conclusions. A sometimes dark novel is interspersed with some lighter romantic moments, not to mention some bizzarre instances too !
Overall, an entertaing read, good value for the price.
An excellent read! Jenny Holmes has produced a real page-turner that had me gripped from start to finish. Cant wait to see what she comes up with next. I loved reading it, and am very happy to recommend it to everyone!
