Author's Biography
Philippa Bernard worked for the French Section of the BBC till she and her husband established an antiquarian bookshop in King’s Road, Chelsea. Kathleen Raine, who lived nearby, became one of their regular customers. Philippa Bernard also lectured for many years for London University’s Extra-Mural Department.
