Synopsis
The dead body of unassuming David Lester is discovered in a dark side-street, and DI Geraldine Steel is plunged into another murder investigation. The clues mount up along with the suspects, but with the death of another man in inexplicable circumstances, the case becomes increasingly complex. As Geraldine investigates the seemingly unrelated crimes, she makes a shocking discovery about her birth mother.
Author's Biography
Leigh Russell studied at the University of Kent, gaining a Masters degree in English. For many years a secondary school English teacher, she is a creative writing tutor for adults. She is married, has two daughters, and lives in North West London.

As with all of Leigh Russell's excellent books, Murder Ring keeps the reader's attention right up until the last page and, as you read the final lines, you feel a mixture of elation and disappointment that you have come to the end of another gripping story......you don't really want it to finish. Leigh Russell is a first class thriller writer, at the very top of her genre and I hope that she and Murder Ring are awarded The People's Book Prize.....a just reward indeed.
I loved this book. The intrigue of the case mixed with Geraldine's own private life was a real page turner.
