This is a very interesting, informative book which I feel I've learnt a lot from. Richard has done an excellent job explaining in a readable, moving and thoughtful way what living an autistic life has been like for him. This is a very helpful book for anyone seeking to learn more about autism, and also a very interesting, worthwhile read for anyone who cares to learn more about the experiences of others.
Intelligent, insightful, informative and helpful in giving a better understanding of autism. Thank you and well done Richard. We have chosen the book for our church's book club to discuss.
This is a fantastic book. My son was diagnosed with aspergers 4 years ago at the age of 13 - this book has helped me understand the issues linked to autism and how it impacts on day to day living. Very interesting - I couldn't put it down.
Inspirational for parents, careers, educationalists. It is insightful, thoughtful and empathetic.
an amazing person who has managed to put into words what his world is like so we can better understand the minds of our Autistic friends and family
A fascinating book which gave me a great deal of insight into autism. Although my life has been very different to that described by Richard, I empathised with many of the feelings and experiences he describes, which made me feel that these are common, albeit experienced to different degrees by different people.
Well done Richard ,hope it's the first book of many

Richard Maguire's book is ground breaking and incredibly brave. He has forsaken the usual rules in favour of illustrating the realities of autistic life. This book does not flow in the same manner as one might expect, but it does richly convey how differently autistic people experience and perceive our largely neuro-typical world....... enjoy!
An important opportunity to read how a person with Autism battles to make sense of what is "normal" to the majority, on a daily basis...
A fantastic explanation of a highly complex subject.
Excellent insight into the world of autism. Brilliant.
Insight by someone who 'lives the dream'
