Author's Biography
Joe Hucknall was born in Cumbria a long time ago – probably the Ice Age. Educated by seven siblings, then drafted into the army before drifting south as a protégé of F. W. Woolworth. Joe worked the system until he was found out and paid to take early retirement.

Great read, made me laugh alot. But also a really good reminder to a younger generation of how different things used to be, economically but also from a gay rights point of view.
