Author's Biography
The Food For Heroes Team is led by Sqn Leader Jon Pullen and comprises of Army and RAF Officers & NCOs and civilians. Photographers and chefs on the team have cooked and photographed all of the recipes which are featured in the book plus the pie on the cover!

A brilliant concept that connects our present day heroes with those of the past and uses a culinary theme, but conveys some serious messages. Appeals to a wide range of readers, not just cooks, on many different levels.

Cracking book with great recipes and inspiring stories. All for an excellent cause which deserves everyones support.
What an amazing achievement this book is. Not only is it an infinately practical cook book with recipes you can actually make, but it's a moving insight into the contributions our service personnel have made over many famous and infamous military campaigns. The fact that proceeds go towards helping genuine heroes is the cherry on the cake. There's no question that this book deserves to win not just this award, but many more besides.

This book is a treasure trove for all. It is an amazing idea and where in the world would one get a book such as this contributed by several well known people as well as War heroes themselves writing a page on their heroes and what they would cook for them if they could.

'Never in the field of human conflict has so much curry been cooked by so few'... This book is funny, moving & inspirational... oh and you learn how to cook some great food! - an outstanding read for a great cause!
