Dives deep into the bedrock of their lives -- very good book.
A Brilliant book..Gave such a good insight into Pregnancy and Childbirth for those days..So enjoyed it.
I loved this book. It has a wealth of the kind of tiny details about women's lives that other writers have overlooked.
I have read a lot of books on the Tudors and this was exceptional. It had so many facts and details about the ordinary lives of women and what they went through in childbirth. I was also fascinated by Licence's take on the impact of the reformation. It's well written, interesting, original and deserves to win.
I love ❤ this book 📚
Amy brings Tudor Life to life far better than any film or drama. The details confirm her master of research and her thoughts make you question your own.
Lovely book, I love the Tudors and this was a fascinating insight into their personal lives!
One of the best books I have ever read! Amy Licence is a brilliant and passionate author who brings history to life.
Brilliant writing
Absolutely love this book,,,, the way Amy Licence approaches this era from the womens point of view is both refreshing and fascinating, not to mention informative. Even though we know certain facts about important Women there is often little to truly go on from records. Also from the female perspective learning about how women managed with childbirth motherhood and surviving is so important. Amy writes in a way that immediately draws you in. Reading this is like sitting opposite her in a comfy chair and it leaves you gripped and yearning for more from this wonderful Author. I have met Amy and she is truly lovely and remarkable lady who because of her empathy to others only adds to her writing.
Fantastic book very informative easy to read. Amy is a lovely person too.
