Author's Biography
Gill grew up the daughter of a farmer and physiotherapist in rural Waikato. After secondary schooling in Auckland she headed to Gisborne, where she trained as a medical technician. She later married, bought a farm and raised four children. Inspired by a topsy-turvy doll, she hoped to promote diversity.
