Not the usual how-to book. 'Wannabe a writer?' is brilliantly written book, laced with helpful tips... all backed up experience. Wish I hadn't missed the vote!
Without a doubt the most informative and brilliantly-written book on writing ever to grace my shelves. I really cannot possibly big this book up enough to do it justice - and for the record, no, I'm not related to Jane in anyway, just keen to see her get the praise she deserves for this superb volume of work.
I wish had been in time to vote. This is an excellent book and a excellent reference. Best of all, with Jane's enthusiasm and humour, if you have even a small inclination to write, this book WILL change your life. Gareth Foy

Have just finished reading this book. As an aspiring writer with a wad of rejections I found it extremely funny yet highly informative. It completely puts things into perspective. Well done Jane Wenham-Jones, this one now has pride of place next to my Writers & Artists Yearbook PS. Its a lot more enjoyable than the W & R Yearbook as well!

Hello Jane (: Amazing, truly. Bex x
This book is one of the funniest and most informative books I have ever read on the art of writing, and I have read a lot. This book had me laughing and wanting to get on with my writing at the same time. I also said to myself, 'I wish I had written that.'
I absolutely loved wanna be a writer. It was not only witty and informative but very honest about the kind of lifestyle you might be looking at as a writer.
Wonderful book my wife loves it and refers to it often
a great investment
although I've developed skin of titanium (killer to keep moisturised) this book was like finding a new exciting and empathetic pal. I'm treating it to a movie tomorrow, followed by dinner. Screw the waiters eying me strangely, this book and I have bonded so if I want to feed it bites of my Beef Wellington, I will!
If it wasn't for Jane's witty and inspirational words of wisdom and her down to earth, tell it as it is insight into the world of writing and publishing, I would never have had the courage to send off my own synopsis to a publisher for the book I am writing AND he wants to read more!! How good is that! Thanks Jane, couldn't have done it without you! Go girl!!! x
Absolutely Fab read!! Jane's a real star! It's bound to become the Wannabe's Bible - only with a sense of humour thrown in. Inspirational, informative and a pleasure to read.
