Dr Michael Mosley is a British journalist, producer and TV presenter. Mimi Spencer is a journalist and author, and a feature-writer and columnist for titles including the Mail, the Evening Standard, the Guardian, the Spectator, Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar, and Observer Food Monthly. She is the author of 101 Things To Do Before You Diet (Transworld 2010).

This book has changed my life. I had been trying to shift 11 - 14 lbs post baby weight for 6 years. I would loose a few lbs and be in view of my target and I would loose motivation and enter a downward spiral of weight gain. With the Fast Diet, on a Fast Day I know that I can have a piece of cake tomorrow if I want it. By just dealing with one day at a time everything seems achievable. I have lost the weight I wanted to and I have kept at the same weight now for 3 months. My husband has lost 3 stone. We now have a different relationship with food. Enjoying treats but understanding moderation. We actually look forward to our Fast Days on a Monday! The book is great as it explains the specifics of the diet in detail as well as providing example menus for the day and recipes.
